A modern day Korean shamaness Hiah Park tells in her interview how she was initiated and became a shamaness. The Naerim Kut (The Initiation Ritual) is a rite of unification of the shamaness with God. God will descend upon the shamaness and possesses her body and they have a spiritual sexual union. For shamans, the spirits whom they serve are their final lovers. Through visions or dreams, shamans would feel sexual union with their deities in contemporary Korean shamanism. They feel that they have sacred marriages with their gods. Ecstasy is the most common experience of Korean shamanism. Shamans feel a oneness with the divine gods and they describe this feeling in terms of sexual union during their visions or dreams.

Shamaness Hiah Park was married spiritually with Sanshin (The Mountain Spirit), identical with Tangun, the mythological progenitor of the Korean nation. She explains:

As I emerged from a ruined kiva a sudden thunder and lightening storm attacked me mercilessly. I fainted onto the sand, and in total surrender I offered myself to the spirits present. I awoke with the most incredible orgasm I have ever known, basking in the most luxurious ecstasy. The sky was replete with rainbows and the reflections of rainbows reaching every horizon…

The origin of the Unification Church is Korean shamanism, spirit worship. The actual founders of the Unification Church are shamanesses who adopted some doctrines of Christianity and combined them with Shamanistic beliefs and practices like sacred spiritual marriages with Gods, Jehovah or Jesus:

  1. 1) Ms. Kim Song-do (The Holy Lord Church)
  2. 2) Ms. Huh Ho-bin (The Inside Belly Church)
  3. 3) Ms. Pak Wol-yong (the ‘wife of Jehovah’, The Wilderness Church)
  4. 4) Ms. Chong Deuk-eun (Chong Tuk-un), (The Wilderness Church and The Jesus Church)
  5. 5) Ms. Yu Myong-hwa and Ms. Lee Yoo-shin (The Jesus Church)

All these female spiritual leaders claimed that they have spiritual sex with God, Jehovah or Jesus who possess their bodies and they are their wives. And then these shamanesses (Mudang) had sexual rites with their physical male followers and claimed that in this way the male followers become one with God, too. Sun Myung Moon had pikareum sex rites with Ms. Pak Wol-yong, the wife of Jehovah.
