Alexa Ward was born in Dublin (Ireland) and raised in New York and Washington DC.

She studied American History and French at Georgetown University where she graduated in 1976.

She joined the Unification Church in California in 1977.

Alexa Ward has held the position of Vice President of FFWPU USA from 2000 until 2009.

In March 2013 she was invited back by Hak Ja Han as the Vice President of Family Federation for World Peace.

Mrs. Ward is also the International Vice President for North America and Deputy Director of the UN Office at Women's Federation for World Peace.

Alexa Ward has been married to Thomas Ward during a blessing ceremony by Sun Myung Moon. They have four children.
