Model pages, sections, paragraphs

From Sun Myung Moon Archive
Help(6 C, 4 P, 9 F)

You can use this help page to see how particular content should be laid out and coded according to SMMA standards. Often it is also helpful to copy codes from the examples and use that for your own new content.

You also see that SMMA pages are made up of five parts, each with their own sections or boxes.

PART I - CATEGORY-SEARCH & INFOBOX

The top right of your page is for the Category tree link and an infobox (on pages made with a form).

Category tree

To embed a 'higher category' tree (here the category 'Help') at top left of new page

{{category tree all|mode=pages|alignright=yes|header=|Help}}<br><br>
gives:

Help(6 C, 4 P, 9 F)

Infobox

Usually appears at the top left of a page and is generated when you have filled out a form for a type of page.

PART II - OWN CONTENT

The top of the page should contain an introduction to the topic. To make your introduction appear above the Table Of Contents (TOC), you should write this without section head.
You can add your own sections when you want to contribute more of your own thoughts. These sections will appear below the TOC.

PART III - PROMINENT CONTENT IN IFRAMES

Part III is for content that you want to emphasize by embedding in iframes. The content could be from external websites or from files in SMMA.

PART IV - ARTICLES, PHOTOS, BOOKS INSIDE SMMA

Think of this section as a catalogue of articles, books, photos, videos, documents that we keep inside SMMA, either in the private or public department of the site. Of course, the articles, books etc. added here should relate to the topic of the page.

Articles section

This section is meant to list articles (essays, blogs, news articles, etc. - not books) that have been uploaded as files or were added as pages in this site. Always add a short summary or description to the links. Note how is dealt with private files!

Photos

In this section you can group links to photos, or also make a photo gallery with photos that we uploaded as public files in SMMA.

Link to private file

This format is used when you cannot use or don't have a link to an external file. For example, photos published on Facebook may often be in this category. Or you may have a photo that you made yourself. In that case you should not embed the image in an Iframe, but you can do it as as shown below. Be cautious with what you add as description!

* Dong Sook - At young age<sup>[[Private:55|pr55]]</sup>
gives:

  • Dong Sook - At young agepr55

Link to public image + link to private file

Use this format when you have both an external source, and an image in the private files. Often the information about the picture appears already as a blue link. In that case it is not necessary to still add a description behind the link.

Also included in the Library are books, documents, audio and videos about Moon and his church, organizations, and events or topics related to the Unification Church.

PART V - LINKS AND REFERENCES

Part V is to make links to other pages in the site, to pages in external websites, and to list references that are contained in the text of the page.

See also section

This section is for internal links only (for links to other pages or sections in SMMA). Make a bulleted list in alphabetical order. Here follows an example.
Note that you can add a description behind the link, but this is not necessary.

*[[Private:MediaWiki logbook#150621 Problems with aligning Category Tree solved]] Category trees would not align right. Here is shown how this was solved.

External links section

This section is reserved for links to external pages and sites (not inside SMMA). Make a bulleted alphabetical list. Start with writing the link (url + description, titles in quotation marks). Add extra information behind the link. Important data to include are dates, authors, etc; whatever is important but not included in the link itself.
