Dieter Schmidt is the current national leader of the UC in Germany.
For several years he was part of a trinity leadership in Germany, together with Fritz Piepenburg and Karl-Christian Hausmann.
In August 2017 he was assigned as the UC leader of the Central Europe region, which includes the countries Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
