1931
- When he was 11 years old he began to attend the Presbyterian church with many members of his family. In his youth he attended the Confucian primary school.[1]
1935
- April 17, Easter - Sun Myung Moon says that on Easter Sunday Jesus appeared to him and asked him to continue Jesus' mission of salvation to the world.
1938
- He entered the Kyeongsong Institute of Commerce and Industry, founded as part of the Japanese educational system in Korea.
- As a student in Seoul he attended services at several churches. One of these was the Heuksong-dong congregation of the Jesus Church founded by Yong-do Lee. Sun Myung Moon also served as a Sunday School teacher at the Myung Su Dae Church.[1]
