Talk:Choi, Sun Kil

From Sun Myung Moon Archive

Different dates are given for her official divorce with Moon

Probably 1953 is conveniently used to indicate the end of their "married life", while the UC will probably also admit that 1957 is the year of the final, official divorce.

Wikipedia shows "Choi Sun-kil (1944–1953)", but under "Founding the Unification Church" it also mentions "On 8 January 1957, Moon and Choi divorced" with a reference (but strangely the article of that reference mentions"Mr. Moon divorced Ms. Choi in 1952". "1. Choi Sun-kil 1943-1957 [engaged 1943, married 1945, divorced January 8, 1957]" http://howwelldoyouknowyourmoon.tumblr.com/post/52965806245/moons-third-wife-myung-hee-kim-in-south

4th paragraph - article seems to contain UC propaganda "However, Sun-kil never fully accepted his messianic claims, and they were divorced in 1953 (she and her son, however, would remain members of the Unification Church)." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/reverend-sun-myung-moon-selfstyled-prophet-and-founder-of-the-unification-church-8102672.html--Beatus Vir (talk) 05:22, 21 August 2015 (PDT)

'Convenient' in the sense that then they get away with Moon having a child from another woman in this period, while he was still officially married with Choi.--DivineCriticizer (talk) 06:48, 21 August 2015 (PDT)
