Kim, Baek Moon was converted by Kim, Nam Jo - "The Prophetess of Chongjin", who was member of Jesus Church. He founded Israel Monastery (Isreal Jesus Church) in 1945 near Seoul. Israel Monastery was closely bounded to Jesus Church and Wilderness Church in Pyongjang. Moon, Sun Myung was follower of Kim, Baek Moon from the end of 1945 until the mid 1946. After that he left with Kim and other followers to north to meet Pak, Wol Yong. According to Unification Church teaching Kim, Baek Moon was in the position of John the Baptist. Kim never acknowledged Moon as messiah. His teachings corresponds with Moon's teachings to the degree that many scholars believe that Moon actually plagiated Kim's teachings. Early Kim's teachings are concluded in two books: "Theology of the Holy Spirit" and "The Fundamental Principle". In 1980's Kim had still a small congregation in Seoul. Kim is suspected by some scholars, that he practised Pikareun ceremonies, as in many other branches of Jesus Church.
